Trixie

Trixie arrived as one of my first rescues. I got her from a woman who was moving and couldn't take the kitten. She was the onyl cat whose birthday I actually knew, 28th December 1993.She was six months old when I went to see her and she arrived at Linden.
She loved travelling and watching and meeting people
She was tiny and long haired with a large ruff around her neck, like a stole! My mind said if she plays with my finger under this door she can come home....she did! (seems to be a small excuse of mine to find something to give me a reason to bring a cat home..do I really need one?) Trixie held her own with all comers and was very much her own person. Standing no nonsense from anyone! She was also very endearing, yet not one for great affection except for a few moments if you rubbed her ears !
A sun worshipper if ever there was one.
She was aloof to the other cats yet very responsive to my moods.
No one messed with Trixie, no matter who they were!
Her story isn't finished yet....
She died in May 2010 from liver failure. She had had high blood pressure and an over active thyroid and had been on medication. One of the problems of thyroid is the affect on other organs. She was just 15 and half, which for me seemed young. She had never been a problem with her health until this and it was diagnosed the previous year. Her death hit me very hard as hse was one of those cats whose responsiveness to you means they get very close.
